Beschreibung

The main objetive of this paper is to study the influence of education and gender on a phonological verbal fluency test called FAS and a semantic verbal fluency task using two categories which were Animals and Fruits. Also, this study was conducted on an age range between 20 and 30 years old because (1) there were no data, to our knowledge, about the performance of these subjects on these tasks in Spanish speaking subjects, and (2) it is in this age range when Traumatic Brain Injury happens more frequently. Seventy five volunteers participated belonging to 8th, 12th and 15th year of education groups. The results showed that the 15th year of education group performed better than the 12th year education group, and the later performed better than the 8th year education group. There was no effect of gender. These results were disscussed in relation to its clinic utility and other English speaking samples.
